Network Performance Monitoring Blog

More visibility across your multi-vendor network

Statseeker v26.3 is now available, expanding the operational data network teams can collect across their infrastructure.

The release combines stability, performance, and reliability improvements with a substantial expansion of Statseeker’s Custom Data Types (CDTs). These additions provide deeper network visibility across Cisco, Juniper, F5, Fortinet, Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks and other critical technologies.

For network engineers managing complex, multi-vendor, environments that means more relevant performance and device-health data available within Statseeker—and fewer blind spots when investigating an issue.

Expanded monitoring where engineers need it

Modern networks rarely rely on a single vendor. Engineers may be responsible for switches, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, firewalls, application delivery, optical networks, and supporting power systems across multiple platforms.

When an incident occurs, missing device data can delay troubleshooting and force teams to search across separate tools and interfaces.

Statseeker v26.3 expands monitoring across more of this infrastructure, helping engineers access the information they need to identify performance problems, verify device health, and understand what is happening across the network.

Expanded Cisco monitoring

Statseeker v26.3 delivers additional monitoring capabilities across several Cisco technologies, including:

  • Expanded Cisco wireless monitoring
  • Cisco Catalyst and Viptela SD-WAN App-Route performance
  • Cisco APIC process health
  • Cisco port channel events
  • Cisco BFD sessions
  • Cisco StackWise redundancy
  • Cisco firewall hardware status

These additions provide greater visibility across wired, wireless, data-center, and SD-WAN environments, giving engineers more context when investigating connectivity, availability, and performance issues.

Security and application-delivery monitoring

The release also extends monitoring across several widely used security and application-delivery platforms:

  • F5 BIG-IP memory and configuration-sync status
  • FortiGate VDOM CPU, memory, sessions and HA status
  • FortiSwitch CPU and memory
  • Zscaler process, health, interface, and swap performance
  • Citrix NetScaler filesystem utilization
  • Palo Alto Networks current and peak firewall connections

Palo Alto firewall connection reports now display both current and peak connection counts rather than averages, helping engineers see important usage spikes that an averaged value could conceal.

Optical, power and supporting infrastructure

Network performance depends on more than switches, routers, and firewalls. Statseeker v26.3 also adds or improves monitoring across optical, environmental, and power infrastructure, including:

  • Juniper and Smartoptics optical monitoring
  • Improved Juniper asset-inventory collection
  • VMware VeloCloud interface monitoring
  • Accedian inventory, CPU, and temperature monitoring
  • Extreme Networks VOSS temperature monitoring
  • APC air-conditioning, PDU, and UPS monitoring
  • Enlogic power-system monitoring
  • Cordex rectifier and power-system monitoring
  • Aviat radio performance monitoring
  • Multi-vendor power-supply state monitoring

Together, these Custom Data Type enhancements provide a broader operational view of the systems supporting network availability and performance.

New API, authentication and platform enhancements

Statseeker v26.3 introduces new API endpoints, creating additional ways to access Statseeker data and support integrations and connected workflows.

Enhanced RADIUS authentication compliance improves alignment with established access control practices. The release also updates Statseeker’s FreeBSD foundation, incorporating current security patches and platform stability improvements.

These changes reinforce the performance, reliability, and security of the underlying Statseeker platform while preparing it for evolving network-management requirements.

Why v26.3 matters

The value of this release is straightforward: more relevant data from more of the infrastructure engineers manage every day.

With more device and performance data available in Statseeker, engineers can:

  • Reduce monitoring gaps across multi-vendor networks
  • Access relevant device-health and performance data faster
  • Investigate issues across wired, wireless, SD-WAN, and security infrastructure
  • Identify conditions that may otherwise remain hidden in averaged data
  • Reduce dependence on fragmented monitoring views
  • Extend the value of their existing Statseeker deployment

The result is a more complete view of the network and better information for troubleshooting, reporting, and operational decision-making.

A first look at what’s next

We’re developing a Statseeker MCP server to explore new ways of connecting Statseeker data with AI-enabled tools and workflows.

The goal is to help engineers access relevant network intelligence more naturally and accelerate investigations when every minute matters.

This work is still evolving. Final capabilities and availability have not yet been confirmed, but we look forward to sharing more as development progresses.
