Network Performance Monitoring Blog

Let’s keep your network out of the headlines.

We’ve given away cars at Cisco Live before. They certainly gave people something to talk about—and a reason to imagine leaving the event with considerably more luggage.

But attracting attention is only the beginning. The most valuable conversations happen when a network engineer stops by and says, “Here’s what we’re dealing with. Can you help?”

This year, Statseeker returns to Cisco Live Melbourne, 9–12 November 2026 at MCEC, with more giveaways, new developments to discuss and a clear priority: understanding the challenges network engineers face today.

Our booth can provide the headline moment. Your network probably has enough responsibilities already.

What is your network missing?

It’s the question we’re bringing to Cisco Live.

Perhaps an intermittent issue disappears before anyone investigates it. Perhaps a capacity decision needs stronger evidence. Or perhaps a recent change has several teams asking questions, each with a slightly different version of events.

“The network seems fine now” is comforting. It also tends to be followed by “So what happened yesterday?”

Statseeker is a self-hosted network intelligence platform built to help engineers detect issues quickly, investigate root cause and plan ahead. It preserves collected performance history at its original granularity, without averaging or rolling it up over time.

That means you can return to an incident and examine the evidence, even months later. You can compare behaviour before and after a change, investigate recurring problems and understand where performance started to deteriorate.

When an incident becomes everyone’s business, having that history makes the conversation much more useful.

Keep the evidence. Get ahead of the next story.

Avoiding disruption takes more than responding quickly. It also takes understanding what your network has been telling you.

Statseeker helps teams identify growing utilisation, investigate unusual behaviour and find underused infrastructure. Those insights support capacity planning, troubleshooting and decisions about where investment will make a difference.

The capabilities behind that work include:

  • 60-second SNMP polling to track interface performance and help surface issues quickly.
  • Long-term, full-fidelity history that preserves the detail needed for investigations.
  • Scale of up to one million interfaces on a single server, with deployment sized to your requirements.
  • Self-hosted control, with deployment on a physical server, virtual machine or cloud instance within your environment.
  • Cisco and broad multi-vendor support, including ACI and Meraki monitoring.
  • Dashboards, alerts, reports and forecasting to support everyday operational decisions.

An efficient server footprint, automated discovery and straightforward licensing also help keep ownership costs manageable. Monitoring should leave you time to manage your network—and a budget to improve it.

Detect. Prove. Prevent. Because “we identified the problem before users were affected” is a very satisfying incident report.

Different industries. Familiar challenges.

Statseeker supports network teams across healthcare, education, government, utilities, retail, manufacturing, transport and service-provider environments.

The services differ. The pressure to keep them connected is familiar.

A hospital needs reliable access to clinical systems. A university supports busy campuses. A retailer depends on connectivity across stores and distribution sites. Each team needs visibility into performance and evidence to explain what changed.

Those industries are examples, rather than limits. Whether you manage a campus, data centre, distributed enterprise or another network environment, we want to understand your challenges.

And if your network has developed a habit of misbehaving only when nobody is watching, we’d particularly like to hear that story.

What’s next for network intelligence?

This is an exciting time for Statseeker. Our recent v26.3 release expands the device and performance data engineers can collect across multi-vendor networks. Our roadmap explores how to make that information more accessible and useful as technology continues to change.

One area in development is a Statseeker Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, exploring how compatible AI-enabled tools could access and interact with the network data monitored by Statseeker.

The goal is to help engineers reach relevant information more naturally and accelerate investigations. Final capabilities and availability are still evolving.

That work builds on something essential: accurate historical data. New ways of asking questions become useful when engineers can check the answers against recorded network behaviour.

“AI says so” is unlikely to settle the post-incident review.

Yes, there are prizes.

We haven’t completely retired our fondness for a giveaway.

This year’s booth prize draw includes:

  • An A$1,000 Amazon eGift Card
  • An 11-inch iPad Air M4
  • Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones
  • Five ForeverSpin fidget toys

The headphones may help with background noise. We’ll focus on helping you understand the network noise.

Visit the booth for entry details and giveaway terms. While you’re there, bring us a question, a recurring issue or an honest opinion about what your monitoring platform should do better.

We’re here to listen.

For Statseeker, growth means helping customers adapt as their networks and responsibilities evolve.

That requires listening: understanding where visibility falls short, what makes troubleshooting difficult and which improvements would make an engineer’s working day easier. Those conversations help us decide what to build, improve and prioritise.

Whether you’re a long-standing customer or meeting us for the first time, Cisco Live is an opportunity to talk directly with our team about your environment, see what Statseeker can do today and discuss where we’re heading.

Come for a conversation. Enter the draw while you’re there.

And let’s work on keeping your network out of the headlines.
