What’s happening?
We’re adopting a simpler, date-based versioning format that better communicates the meaning of a Statseeker release number. Moving forward, our releases will be versioned by year and quarter. For example, the first release using the new date-based format is 25.2, representing 2025 Q2.
Why are you making this change?
We’re moving to a date-based versioning format to make it easier for you to understand when a release was issued, align upgrades with your internal planning cycle, and assess how up-to-date your existing version is. This change improves transparency, simplifies communication, and reflects a common industry practice, helping you make more informed decisions around upgrades and support.
When are you making the change?
The change will take effect from the next release (25.2).
Will this impact my current Statseeker installation?
No. Aside from any updates to the version number displayed in the GUI, Statseeker functionality remains unchanged.
Are you increasing the subscription cost?
This is purely a versioning change and will not result in any increase to your subscription.
Are you removing any features because of the versioning change?
No. The versioning change does not impact Statseeker functionality.
What does this change mean for my upgrade path?
There will be no immediate change to the upgrade path, and direct upgrades from recent versions will be available. To simplify the process for customers, we are moving towards more direct upgrades with fewer intermediate steps.
What’s coming in the next release of Statseeker, and when will it be available?
